| "A Taste of Art ArtWalk" is coming to the Scottsdale Arts District on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m., hosted by the Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) in conjunction with Scottsdale Downtown and the new Eats3 culinary extravaganza.
The evening’s delicacies will include gallery shows, artists’ receptions and free sampling stations hosted by local purveyors. Dozens of the Southwest's greatest art galleries will be open to the public with shows and receptions displaying artwork of all styles and media…some with foodrelated subject matter. Other galleries will be hosting private VIP gourmet dinner fundraisers that feature top chefs from the Eats3 festival.
Live entertainment on the street will be sponsored in part by Scottsdale Fashion Square’s new Grand Lux Café, which will also be providing free samples of its delicious fare. Among the live music attractions will be a multi-media jazz performance by Inner Journeys, featuring awardwinning pianist-composer Bob Ravenscroft along with bassist Dwight Kilian, saxophonist Eric Rasmussen and video improviser Mario Barnabe.
The new ArtWalk has been dubbed “the cocktail ArtWalk” and represents just a taste of what’s to come during an exciting weekend of great cuisine presented by Eats3, to be produced by Savor Scottsdale. For more information and ticket details, visit www.eats3.com.
For “starters,” grab your appetite for culture and “ArtWalk the Line” along Main Street and Marshall Way up to Sixth Avenue, Stetson and the Waterfront. There are plenty of nearby free parking areas, and the Scottsdale Arts District is easily accessible via free Scottsdale Trolleys or horse-drawn carriage rides.
