Jon with Synergy will be pouring wines from Allan Scott Vineyards. Allan Scott Wines & Estates Ltd is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery group. The company was founded in 1990 although the family’s history in winegrowing began in 1975 when they planted their first vineyard as a contract grower. Allan began his viticultural career in 1973 as a vineyard manager for a national wine company until shifting allegiance to a rival company, firstly establishing vineyards in the Rapaura district, then taking a senior role as Viticultural Manager with responsibilities of the group’s grape intake from all the New Zealand wine regions, as well as being part of the winemaking team. An ongoing desire to create aromatic estate grown and produced wines is reflected in the expansive range of wines produced at the winery. As the Marlborough region has gained a well deserved reputation as a wine and food haven, Allan Scott Wines has developed its own reputation as a Marlborough icon and a sound name for outstanding wines and fine food. Quality and absolute dedication to achieving the best is the key to Allan Scott Wines. The company prides itself on viticultural excellence, extending through to the finished product. Jon will be pouring the 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, 2006 Unwooded Chardonnay, 2006 Riesling, 2006 Pinot Noir 7 the 2005 Dry Bore Shiraz.
