Wrong answer... Wine Quiz Answer: B. It's elements knit together.
While all of these may be possible, the best answer is B. As a wine ages, one of the natural chemical components in it, called tannin, binds together and makes the wine taste smoother. The flavors mellow and often take on a nutty, smoky or dried-fruit character, depending on the wine. Not all wines benefit from aging. In fact, most are made to be consumed within a year or two of their purchase ... or actually in about 19 minutes (the time it takes to drive home from the liquor store).
